Terms of Service
Last updated 8 October 2026
The short version
Play the game and enjoy it. Don’t copy it, sell it or pull it apart. It is still being made, so it will change. Your progress lives on your headset and we cannot recover it. And if something goes wrong, you keep every right the law gives you: nothing here takes those away.
Who we are
Dendrite Bloom is made by Bellare Studios, in Melbourne, Australia. These terms cover this website and the Dendrite Bloom game. By using either, you are agreeing to them.
Getting and playing the game
Dendrite Bloom is distributed through the Meta Horizon Store. Buying or redeeming it is a transaction between you and Meta, under Meta’s terms: payment, your account and refunds are handled by Meta rather than by us. If you want a refund, Meta is who to ask.
What you get is a personal licence to play the game on your own headset for as long as that store licence lasts. You are not buying the game itself, and the licence cannot be passed to someone else. The same applies to a key we send you, for example as a playtester.
A game still being made
Dendrite Bloom is in active development, and some builds are released for testing. Expect it to change. Levels and puzzles may be added, reworked or removed; visuals and sound will change; test builds may contain faults. We do not promise that any particular feature will exist, keep behaving the same way, or arrive on a particular date. If you are playing a test build, please treat it as unfinished work.
Puzzles, not a test
Dendrite Bloom is a puzzle game for practising spatial thinking. It is not an assessment, a diagnosis or a medical or therapeutic product, and we make no promise that playing it will improve any skill or score. The glowing brain is a picture of your progress in the game, not a measurement of your brain.
Playing safely
Follow Meta’s health and safety guidance for your headset, play in a clear space, and take a break whenever you feel tired or uncomfortable. The game is designed for players aged 13 and over.
Your progress
Your progress is stored on your headset and nowhere else. We hold no copy of it and have no way to restore it. Uninstalling the game, resetting the headset or a failed device will lose it. If a change to the game ever means older progress cannot be read, we will say so before it ships.
Fair use
Please do not:
- copy, share, sell or redistribute the game, its files or its keys
- reverse engineer it, or work around the store’s licence check
- modify it to cheat, or pass off a modified build as ours
- use our name, artwork or logo to imply we endorse something we do not
Recording, streaming and making videos of your own play is welcome, including monetised ones. You do not need to ask us.
What belongs to whom
The game, its code, artwork, sound, puzzles, name and logo belong to us. Paper folding itself, and the idea of punching a folded sheet and predicting the holes, belong to nobody.
The paid playtest
If you apply to the paid playtest, the terms shown on the playtest page when you applied (its fee, conditions and privacy note) apply to the study as well as these. Where the two differ, the playtest terms win for the study.
Guarantees, and their limits
We build the game as carefully as we can, but we cannot promise it will be free of faults or run perfectly on every device. Except where the law says otherwise, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost time, lost data, or losses that could not reasonably have been foreseen.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under any other law that cannot be excluded. Where such a guarantee applies and we fail to meet it, you have the remedies that law provides, whatever else this page says.
This website
The site exists to tell you about the game, and to run the playtest. What it records is described in the privacy policy. It links out to other services, and what happens on those is between you and them.
Changes
We will update these terms as the game grows, and change the date at the top when we do. If something significant changes, we will say so on this site.
